Document the 1000 events/sec ingest and 60 req/min management limits, and what happens when you hit them.

  • Ingest: 1000 events/second per project.
  • Management API: 60 requests/minute per API key.

What happens when you hit them

Section titled “What happens when you hit them”
  • Ingest over-limit: Harbor returns 429 Too Many Requests with a Retry-After header. Back off and retry.
  • Management over-limit: same 429 shape. Typically indicates an automation loop — check your deployment scripts.
  • Bursts are tolerated up to 3x the steady-state limit for 5 seconds.
